Professional Light Poles Manufacturing Process
The production of light poles involves a meticulous series of steps to ensure durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal. The process starts with cutting steel plates into the required dimensions using precision machinery such as CNC plasma cutters. Once the plates are prepared, they are bent into polygonal or tapered cylindrical shapes through a rolling or press-brake machine, carefully aligned to meet design specifications.
After forming, welding is performed along the longitudinal seam to securely close the pole shaft. Submerged arc welding is commonly used for its strength and consistency. Once welded, the pole undergoes a straightening process to correct any deformation that occurred during bending or welding, ensuring structural accuracy. A door opening is then cut at the base of the pole, which will later serve as an access point for electrical wiring and maintenance.
Next comes a series of detailed welding tasks: the base plate is welded to the bottom of the pole, reinforcements are added inside for extra strength, and the previously cut door frame is welded in place. With the structural assembly complete, the pole is hot-dip galvanized by immersing it in molten zinc. This coating offers long-term corrosion protection, especially in outdoor environments.
After galvanization, the pole may experience slight warping, so it is straightened again and polished to remove any rough edges or excess zinc buildup. The surface is then treated with a powder coating in a desired color, providing additional resistance to UV rays, chemicals, and mechanical wear. The coated pole is baked in a high-temperature oven to cure the powder into a smooth, hardened finish.
Finally, each light pole is carefully inspected, wrapped, and packaged using protective materials to avoid any damage during handling and transportation. This complete manufacturing process ensures that every pole delivered is not only functional and strong, but also visually appealing and ready for long-term use in various outdoor environments.
